McCAIN'S WINDS OF CHANGE

Reports quote Arizonia U.S. Senator John McCain during an unofficial campaign stop for President in Holland and Grand Rapids, he gave the Republican crowd big-picture speak on the future:

"Why is it so difficult? With the savings and loan scandals, it was real and apparent, but you can't see climate change," he said. As for the "winds of change" in the Mideast, McCain put Bush on the same pedestal as President Reagan, saying the region's quests for democracy are every bit as historical as the Berlin Wall falling.

"Something's happening, my friends, and it's because of the leadership that began with Ronald Reagan and has continued under George W. Bush," McCain said. We're looking at events that can easily be compared to the fall of the Berlin Wall." He added: "It's all because this president and the American people have been illing to serve and to sacrifice. Are there going to be setbacks? Yes. Are all rulers goingto hold to their word? No. But the march of time is in favor of freedom."
