MURPHY NEW TOP COP
Monday, the Lansing State Journal reports, Steven Murphy will be named the new U.S. Attorney for Michigan's Eastern District.
Murphy was a trial attorney with the Justice Department from 1987-92 and an assistant U.S. attorney in Detroit from 1992 to 2000, when he joined GM. He also teaches at Ave Maria Law School and the University of Detroit Mercy Law School.
