POLLSTERS BUCK BUTLER

In today's George Week's column, political pollsters Steve Mitchell and Ed Sarpolous both give dim prospects for would-be U.S. Senate candidate Keith Butler against U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow:

Steve Mitchell on Butler: "very charismatic and articulate, a great speaker. But I'm still not sure Michigan is ready to elect a black to one of the three top high offices"

Ed Sarpolus of EPIC/MRA, who says working against Butler in a statewide vote is his identification with Detroit, and among Detroit voters is that "he's not a force in the black community."
